The property market is in a slump and interest rates are on the rise. Yet the always-optimistic Reno Kings, Geoff Doidge and Paul Eslick say right now is the time to buy and beautify.

However, according to these seasoned renovators, doing it on the cheap is the only way to make money in this market.

"I can't understand why more people out there haven't made more money in property, says Paul, "There are so many bargains out there; people have got to learn to get their hands dirty."

Paul says "The rule right now is not to over capitalise — make a budget and stick to it, no exceptions."
