Poor Marketing
By Justin Eslick
This morning I received an email from an agent trying to sell a property. Nothing unusal about this, I receive about two dozen a day. What was unusual though was the level of detail within the email.
No price. No address. No suburb. I don't even know what office the agent works for! The property could be located North of Townsville or right in the heart of Brisbane, but without a price I get no indication and without a suburb you have lost me completely.
It is a buyer's market. Everyone knows this. We are sourcing bargains left right and centre and if you are a considering a purchase now is the time! But if you are selling, one word of advice. Get the price right, the agent right and marketing right. Get it wrong and you don't stand a chance. Make sure you review every bit of communication the agent is proposing to send out. No one knows your property as well as you do and it is your money at stake.
How some agents are making any sales at all beggars belief when you consider the above.
